We stayed at Hammerkop for 5 days in July. Our tent was #4 – the amazing tent that looks directly out on the Mara River. We could not speak more highly of the accommodations, the staff and our safari experience. The food was good and plentiful. We asked to have coffee in our room in the mornings and every morning someone brought coffee to our tent. Carmen, the camp manager, was friendly, helpful, warm and engaging. We enjoyed our walk to the nearby hippo pond and our daily drive with John. We especially appreciated the Hammerkop tradition of guesting sharing meals with their safari guides and, sometimes, with Carmen. That added so much to our feeling at home and connecting with our guides and folks working in the camp. We hope to return very very soon.
