How Forest Challenge 2025 Redefined Adventure, Teamwork & Conservation
On 29th November 2025, the breathtaking landscapes of Kereita Forest were transformed into a high-energy arena of endurance, teamwork, and environmental action during the 10th edition of The Forest Challenge 2025. Set within the scenic Aberdare ecosystem, the event brought together corporate teams, fitness lovers, and adventure seekers for a unique experience that blended outdoor excitement with a strong conservation message.

The day began on a vibrant note with cultural performances by Gim Events, infusing the forest with rhythm and celebration. Participants then engaged in structured warm-up sessions led by Bramwel Wangila, preparing both body and mind for the demanding course ahead. The official proceedings included the National Anthem and a reflective moment led by Julius Njoroge, followed by motivating speeches from Benjamin Mundi and Nancy Ogonje. The challenge was then officially launched by Alex Lemarkoko, marking the start of an unforgettable journey through the forest trails.

As the competition unfolded, teams navigated rugged terrain, natural obstacles, and physically demanding checkpoints that tested endurance, communication, and problem-solving skills. Each stage of the challenge strengthened teamwork and resilience, pushing participants beyond their comfort zones. A key highlight was the symbolic tree-planting activity led by Benjamin Mundi, reinforcing the importance of reforestation and climate action. The event was professionally overseen by judges John Nyaga, George Njagi, and Joseph Macharia, while entertainment segments and award presentations kept spirits high throughout the day.

Beyond the physical challenge, the event also created a powerful platform for environmental dialogue. Thought-provoking discussions led by Nancy Ogonje, Nelson Muiru, Kibet Boen, and David Kuria—alongside representatives from the Office of the Chief Conservator of Forests—emphasized the urgent need to protect and restore Kenya’s forest ecosystems. These conversations highlighted how collaboration between communities, corporates, and conservation bodies is essential for long-term environmental sustainability.

The success of The Forest Challenge 2025 was made possible through strong partnerships with organizations committed to environmental impact, including Safarilink, Madison Group, Kevian, Kenya Wildlife Service, Intrepid, and Hivos People Unlimited. Their support reflected a shared vision of promoting sustainability through action-driven experiences that go beyond awareness to real impact.

Ultimately, The Forest Challenge 2025 delivered more than adventure—it delivered purpose. From adrenaline-filled trails to meaningful tree-planting moments, Go Places Media captured every highlight of the day. As participants departed, they carried with them stronger bonds, renewed energy, and a deeper commitment to environmental conservation, proving once again that when adventure meets purpose, transformation happens.
