The Magical Kenya Travel Expo (MKTE) 2025 took place from 1st to 3rd October 2025 at the iconic Uhuru Gardens in Nairobi, bringing together a vibrant mix of tourism professionals, stakeholders, government officials, and exhibitors from across the globe. The official opening ceremony, held on 2nd October 2025, was a grand affair, graced by the Deputy President H.E. Prof. Kithure Kindiki as the Guest of Honor. He was joined by H.E. Hon. Rebecca Miano, the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife, and H.E. Hon. John Ololtuaa, Principal Secretary, State Department of Tourism. Also in attendance were a host of distinguished dignitaries, government stakeholders, ambassadors, and representatives from international tourism boards, underscoring the event’s significance in shaping Kenya’s global tourism strategy.

This year’s expo attracted a wide range of exhibitors from both local and international tourism sectors. Participants included tour operators, hoteliers, travel agents, conservation groups, and destination management companies. Notable exhibitors included renowned brands such as Sarova Hotels, Fairmont Kenya, Elewana Collection, Basecamp Explorer, Gamewatchers Safaris, among others. Regional and international tourism boards and airlines also showcased their services, providing a global perspective on travel trends and collaborative opportunities.

The success of MKTE 2025 was made possible through the invaluable support of key sponsors and partners. These included the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife, Magical Kenya, the Kenya Tourism Board, Tourism Promotion Fund, Kenya Airways, Jambojet, Kenya Airports Authority, Qatar Airways, AirKenya, and Lufthansa.
