Island Camp Baringo
Island Camp Baringo is a luxurious resort on an island in the middle of Lake Baringo, the only freshwater lake north of the hemisphere in Kenya’s Great Rift Valley. It is less than an hour drive to Lake Bogoria with its millions of lesser and greater flamingos, one of the most incredible spectacles in Kenya along with the Wildebeest migration.
The Lake is famous for its hundreds of bird species and our boat guides are experts at finding and identifying birds as well as other wildlife in the lake which include hippos and crocodiles.
There are two bars, famous for their hospitality, including the pool bar with its views of both sides of the lake.
For the more sporty, there is kayaking or donutting for children. There are also trips to a neighbouring Island where you can walk with giraffes and ostriches and other wildlife.
