According to Statista, Kenya’s sector of accommodation and restaurant services grew by over 56 percent in the first quarter of 2022. This represented a substantial recovery in comparison to 2021, when the sector’s value added contracted by around 30 percent.
In general, the Kenyan economy has been rebounding since the easing of containment measures implemented to curb the spread of COVID-19.
