The world’s most trusted airline alliance has done it again! On June 17, 2025, Star Alliance was voted the World’s Best Airline Alliance at the 2025 Skytrax World Airline Awards, marking its fourth consecutive win and its 13th title since the category’s inception in 2005.
Proving once more that global connectivity and exceptional service go hand in hand, Star Alliance continues to set the gold standard in air travel, uniting 26 world-class member airlines under one seamless experience. As part of this milestone, the Star Alliance Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport Lounge was also recognized, for the second consecutive year, as the World’s Best Airline Alliance Lounge. Since its debut in October 2023, this elegant, customer-focused space has redefined airport comfort, offering passengers a premium haven before their flights.
Star Alliance CEO Theo Panagiotoulias expressed immense pride in the achievement, saying, “This continued recognition is incredibly significant. It reflects the trust millions of customers place in our member airlines, connected by a rhythm, to create smoother journeys every day.”

In addition to the two major wins, 14 Star Alliance member airlines walked away with a total of 62 top awards across various categories, a resounding testament to the alliance’s quality, consistency, and customer-first approach.
Held during the Paris Air Show at Le Bourget Airport, the Skytrax Awards, known globally as the Oscars of Aviation, were based on over 22 million verified passenger surveys collected from around the world between September 2024 and May 2025.
