On the evening of June 20th, 2024, Pullman Hotels & Resorts officially opened its doors in the prestigious Upper Hill area of Nairobi. The festivities began with a warm welcome and registration from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. Guests were treated to mesmerizing performances by Maasai dancers and Isikuti dancers, setting the tone for an evening rich in cultural appreciation and entertainment. The air was filled with anticipation as dignitaries, including the Principal Secretary of Tourism, John Olooltuaa, and other notable guests arrived at the carport area. The official opening ceremony commenced at 7:00 PM at the Pullman Porte Cochere. The MC, with great enthusiasm, introduced the leaders from Accor and KASADA, including Paul Stevens, Jonathan Sheard, and Daniel Karbownik, alongside Olivier Granet. The national anthem played as everyone stood in unity, followed by a symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony officiated by the Principal Secretary of Tourism. The evening’s highlight was undoubtedly the Pullman Fashion Défilé, held outside the Grand Ballroom from 8:30 PM to 9:00 PM. The fashion show, introduced by the renowned fashion experience profile, Ms. Connie Aluoch, featured collections from celebrated designers Monica Kanari and Yvonne AfroStreet. Professional models strutted down the runway to the dynamic beats provided by a live DJ and the Gogosimo band, creating a vibrant atmosphere. The night concluded with a tour of the hotel and the WOJO spaces from 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
