On Thursday, June 12th, 2025, the lush gardens of Shamba Events, Loresho in Nairobi transformed into a vibrant tapestry of Spanish flavor, culture, and professional exchange during the highly anticipated Taste Spain Nairobi 2025. Organized by the Economic and Commercial Office of the Spanish Embassy in Nairobi, the event brought together some of the most influential voices in Kenya’s food and beverage industry. From importers and distributors to chefs, sommeliers, and media personalities, all gathered with one purpose—to celebrate and explore the richness of Spain’s gastronomic offerings.

Eight distinguished Spanish companies made the journey from Spain, bringing with them a curated selection of wines, premium olive oils, unique vinegars, and craft beverages. Their mission was clear: to build bridges and secure distribution in the growing Kenyan market. Alongside them were seven Kenyan companies already importing Spanish products, sharing their success stories and opening doors for collaboration. It was a rare and powerful convergence of business, culture, and culinary excellence.

Guests were treated to a captivating masterclass led by a renowned sommelier based in Nairobi, who took the audience on a sensorial journey across Spain’s diverse wine regions—from the robust reds of Rioja to the crisp whites of Rías Baixas.
