Discover Innovation, Culture & Adventure At Magical Kenya Travel Expo 2025
From October 1st to 3rd, 2025, Nairobi’s iconic Uhuru Gardens became the epicenter of global tourism and innovation as the Magical Kenya Travel Expo (MKTE) 2025 came to life. Over three lively days, the expo welcomed tourism boards, travel experts, innovators, and cultural ambassadors from around the world. With a strong emphasis on redefining travel and advancing sustainable tourism across Africa, MKTE 2025 blended learning, creativity, and cultural experiences to leave every participant inspired and energized.

The official opening on October 2nd was a milestone for Kenya’s tourism industry. Deputy President H.E. Prof. Kithure Kindiki attended as Guest of Honour, accompanied by Tourism and Wildlife Cabinet Secretary H.E. Hon. Rebecca Miano and Principal Secretary for Tourism H.E. Hon. John Ololtuaa. Their presence highlighted Kenya’s dedication to cementing its position as a leading tourism destination globally. Ambassadors, diplomats, and international tourism stakeholders added prestige to the event, reinforcing MKTE’s role as a hub for collaboration and international engagement.

The exhibition halls buzzed with activity as top hospitality brands showcased Kenya’s diverse offerings. Leading names such as Sarova Hotels, Fairmont Kenya, Serena Hotels, Elewana Collection, Basecamp Explorer, and Gamewatchers Safaris presented immersive experiences highlighting the nation’s natural beauty and cultural richness. Airlines and international tourism boards showcased innovative technologies, sustainability initiatives, and creative destination marketing campaigns, underscoring Kenya’s position as Africa’s gateway for global travelers.

Partnerships were pivotal to the expo’s success. Organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife, Magical Kenya, and the Kenya Tourism Board (KTB), MKTE 2025 received strong support from airline partners including Kenya Airways, Jambojet, Qatar Airways, AirKenya, and Lufthansa. Corporate sponsors such as Nation Media Group, KCB, VISA, NCBA, ICEA Lion, Hanspaul Group, Go Places, Novotel, and The Panari Hotel elevated the event’s profile, while cultural collaborators like the Museum of Illusions and the Kenya Wildlife Service added authenticity, blending conservation storytelling with Kenya’s rich heritage.

MKTE 2025 went beyond exhibitions and networking by offering a dynamic cultural showcase. Attendees were treated to mesmerizing traditional dances, live music performances, and artisan displays that celebrated Kenya’s heritage and creativity. These cultural experiences connected visitors to the heart of Kenya while reinforcing the country’s reputation as a leading African tourism and cultural destination.

Go Places Media provided live coverage throughout the event, capturing highlights, interviews, panel discussions, and on-ground experiences in real time. As the 2025 edition of MKTE came to a close, participants departed with renewed inspiration, valuable business connections, and a strengthened appreciation for Kenya’s growing impact on global tourism and Africa’s travel industry.
