Over three dynamic days, the expo welcomed tourism boards, travel professionals, innovators, and cultural representatives from across the globe. Focused on reimagining travel and promoting sustainable tourism in Africa, MKTE 2025 offered a seamless mix of learning, creativity, and cultural celebration that left every attendee inspired.

The opening ceremony on October 2nd was a landmark moment for Kenya’s tourism sector. Deputy President H.E. Prof. Kithure Kindiki graced the event as Guest of Honour, accompanied by Tourism and Wildlife Cabinet Secretary H.E. Hon. Rebecca Miano and Principal Secretary for Tourism H.E. Hon. John Ololtuaa. Their presence demonstrated Kenya’s commitment to elevating its position on the global tourism map. The participation of ambassadors, diplomats, and international tourism stakeholders further highlighted MKTE’s significance as a platform for collaboration and global engagement.

Inside the vibrant exhibition halls, energy and excitement filled every corner. Leading hospitality brands such as Sarova Hotels, Fairmont Kenya, Serena Hotels, Elewana Collection, Basecamp Explorer, and Gamewatchers Safaris unveiled immersive experiences that highlighted Kenya’s natural splendor and cultural richness. Airlines and international tourism boards showcased cutting-edge technologies, eco-conscious initiatives, and innovative destination marketing strategies, further cementing Kenya’s role as a premier gateway to African adventures.

Collaboration was at the core of MKTE 2025’s success. Organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife, Magical Kenya, and the Kenya Tourism Board (KTB), the expo received strong backing from airline partners including Kenya Airways, Jambojet, Qatar Airways, AirKenya, and Lufthansa. Corporate sponsors such as Nation Media Group, KCB, VISA, NCBA, ICEA Lion, Hanspaul Group, Go Places, Novotel, and The Panari Hotel amplified the event’s reach, while cultural partners like the Museum of Illusions and the Kenya Wildlife Service added authentic flair, blending conservation storytelling with artistic expression.

MKTE 2025 went beyond business networking, offering an unforgettable cultural showcase. Guests enjoyed mesmerizing traditional dances, live music, and artisan displays that celebrated Kenya’s diverse heritage. These experiences not only connected attendees to Kenya’s soul but also reinforced the nation’s reputation as a cultural and tourism leader in Africa.

Throughout the event, Go Places Media provided live coverage, capturing panel discussions, interviews, highlights, and on-site experiences in real time. As the 2025 edition of MKTE concluded, participants left with renewed inspiration, meaningful collaborations, and a deepened appreciation for Kenya’s growing influence in shaping the future of African and global tourism.
