Celebrating Climate And Environmental Activist Muthoni Kariuki
Muthoni Kariuki (Noni) is a young career journalist, Climate activist & environmentalist, and creative; one of the most established beauty queens from the Safari Nation, Kenya.
She is the Creative founder of Green Age Warriors, an initiative that advocates for Justice, Inclusion, Equality, and Equity across all aspects of life. Muthoni is a vocal advocate for Girls, Women & Youth Empowerment.
Growing up in a marginalized rural community in Kiambere, Mbeere South Embu County, Noni experienced firsthand Political, Economic, Social, and Environmental Injustices. As Miss Tourism Kenya and now Miss Tourism Africa, Muthoni uses her voice and platforms to create awareness of issues affecting African societies and help find solutions.
As the first Miss Tourism Africa and the first Kenyan to win a continental tourism crown, this feat is not only a dream come true for Muthoni but an honor and a responsibility to serve.
As an advocate of Eco-Tourism, Muthoni’s core goal is to be an agent of change, creating impacts across the continent while actively promoting sustainable travel to natural areas, conserving the environment, and improving the well-being of the local communities.
Quoting one of her favorite Nobel Peace Laureate winners, Professor Wangari Maathai, ‘it’s the little things that we do as citizens that will make a difference’.
Muthoni works daily with the most affected people and local communities near natural tourism areas, offering her time and resources to improve their lives as she believes the people closest to the problem are the people closest to the solutions.
Go Places Digital Celebrates and appreciates all the effort that you have put into changing Embu County and the world at large.
