Six Months Of Live Wildlife Broadcasts Are Connecting Global Audiences With Kenya’s Protected Areas, Conservation Story And Tourism Experiences
Kenya is expanding the reach of its tourism and conservation story with a new six-month live wildlife streaming initiative connecting global audiences with the country’s protected areas.
The Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) and Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) have launched “Experience Wonder – Live From Kenya,” a digital initiative bringing Kenya’s wildlife, protected areas and conservation efforts directly to audiences in Kenya and across the world.

Officially highlighted this week by Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife, Hon. Rebecca Miano, EGH, during a live viewing at Nairobi National Park, the initiative offers audiences regular access to Kenya’s wildlife through live morning and afternoon broadcasts.
The programme is already gaining significant global reach. Since broadcasts began on 7 September 2026, KenyaLIVE has showcased Kenya’s protected areas alongside WildEarth’s SafariLIVE programming, reaching more than 500,000 daily unique viewers across 16 global platforms, including DStv, YouTube, Samsung TV Plus and Roku.
Over the six-month programme, viewers will be taken across a diverse selection of KWS protected areas, including Nairobi National Park, Amboseli, Tsavo East, Tsavo West, the Aberdares, Sibiloi, Meru, Ruma and Mount Elgon, among other destinations. The broadcasts will feature both renowned wildlife destinations and lesser-known locations, while highlighting the tourism experiences, communities and conservation initiatives connected to these areas.
The initiative also puts conservation firmly at the centre of the story. Coinciding with World Rhino Day, the launch highlighted the work being undertaken to protect rhinos and other wildlife, while showcasing the role of rangers, scientists, communities, conservationists, tourism operators and partners in safeguarding Kenya’s natural heritage.
Beyond live broadcasts, the programme will create a digital library of wildlife highlights, mini-documentaries and tourism promotional films. From November, curriculum-linked virtual school safaris will further connect Kenyan and international students with the country’s protected areas and conservation story.
For KWS, the platform provides an opportunity to showcase the day-to-day work behind wildlife conservation, including ranger patrols, scientific monitoring and community engagement. For KTB, it provides a direct connection between audiences discovering Kenya online and the wider tourism experiences available across the country.
“Experience Wonder – Live From Kenya” is therefore more than a wildlife streaming programme. It is a digital showcase of Kenya’s destinations, wildlife, people and conservation work, and a strategic invitation for global audiences to move from watching Kenya to experiencing it.
