Kenya’s most thrilling motorsport event is set to roar into life, and KCB Bank is once again at the forefront, fueling the excitement with a KShs. 209 million investment in the 2025 WRC Safari Rally! As the official sponsor for the fifth consecutive year, KCB is reaffirming its unwavering commitment to motorsports, talent development, and national pride. From March 20 – 23, 2025, the world will turn its attention to Naivasha, where Kenya’s finest rally drivers will battle it out on the iconic, unpredictable terrains that have defined the Safari Rally’s legendary status.

This year, KCB is backing four outstanding local drivers: Nikhil Sachania, Evans Kavisi, Tinashe Gatimu, and Karan Patel. Among them, Tinashe Gatimu is making her highly anticipated WRC debut, while Evans Kavisi makes an epic return to the track after a year-long break. Their inclusion in the KCB Racing Team highlights the bank’s drive to nurture local talent and put Kenyan motorsport on the global map. KCB Group CEO Paul Russo emphasized that the WRC Safari Rally is more than just a race—it’s a stage for Kenya to shine internationally, demonstrating resilience, skill, and the spirit of competition. The Chief Guest was Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports; H.E Salim Mvurya, also present was the Principal Secretary for Sports H.E Eng. Peter Tum.

Since 2021, when the WRC Safari Rally made its glorious comeback, KCB has pumped over KShs. 800 million into the event and a staggering KShs. 2.3 billion in motorsports over the past two decades. This unwavering support has transformed rallying in Kenya, providing local drivers with resources, visibility, and opportunities to compete at the highest level. Beyond the adrenaline, the rally is a massive economic driver, attracting thousands of visitors, boosting local businesses, and showcasing Kenya as a premier global sporting destination.But KCB’s impact goes beyond the track. The bank is also leading the way in sustainable motorsports, setting a goal to plant 3,000 trees in 2025.
