Highlights Of The MotorX Event By Fly ALS

Reflecting On The Event: FLYALS’ Impact And Memories Made

FLYALS had taken on the role of a silver sponsor for the event, forming a partnership with Vipingo Ridge who was the host. As part of their involvement, they set up a tent where attendees could gather information about the airline and make bookings for return flights to Nairobi.

The event commenced on Saturday, the 8th of July, with practice rounds. However, the weather proved to be unpredictable, resulting in fluctuating conditions. The heavy rainfall rendered the track muddy and slippery, creating unfavorable circumstances for the Pee Wee category participants. Due to the small size of their bikes, navigating through the muck proved challenging, leading to frequent falls. To mitigate the risk of injury, it was decided to reschedule the category for Sunday, the 9th of July. Consequently, the day’s activities concluded earlier than expected.

Observing the proceedings, attendees witnessed the 3pm flight from Nairobi soaring over the event, eventually touching down at the Vipingo airstrip. The following day, Sunday, the 9th of July, a new track was arranged on the grass specifically for the Pee Wee category. The Governor of Kilifi County graced the occasion and officially flagged off the event, which continued until approximately 3pm.

During the closing ceremony at 4pm, the GoJump team mesmerized the audience with a tandem skydive, gracefully descending to land directly at the MOTOX event location. Among the onlookers were the CEO of FLYALS, Shakeel Khan, and his wife, who were present to support their son in the competition. Remarkably, their son emerged victorious in his heats, showcasing his talent and determination.

In summary, FLYALS played a significant role as a silver sponsor in collaboration with Vipingo Ridge for the event. Their presence was notable through the provision of an information tent and booking services. Despite the challenges posed by the ever-changing weather and track conditions, the event proceeded with adjustments, allowing participants in the Pee Wee category to showcase their skills on a modified grass track. The involvement of the GoJump team added a thrilling element to the closing ceremony, while the success of the CEO’s son in the competition brought pride and joy to the FLYALS family.
