Innovation, Creativity & Excellence, Inside Kenya’s Premier Digital Media Awards 2025
The 9th edition of the Digital Media Festival and Awards Show 2025 unfolded in spectacular style on December 12 in Nairobi, as Go Gaga Experiential brought together the country’s brightest digital minds for an evening of recognition, inspiration, and celebration. Set against the serene, green surroundings of The Tamarind Hotel Grounds along Lang’ata Road, the event created an elegant yet energetic atmosphere where creativity, innovation, and collaboration took center stage.

From the moment guests arrived, the festival buzzed with excitement as agency leaders, content creators, publishers, brands, and digital innovators connected and exchanged ideas. The awards spotlighted excellence across a wide range of categories—Agency, Content, Publisher, Digital, Youth, and Special Awards—reflecting the depth and diversity of Kenya’s rapidly evolving digital ecosystem. The evening paid tribute to both trailblazers who have shaped the industry and rising talents redefining its future.

A major highlight of the night was Tandem Network’s remarkable performance, as the agency dominated the awards with the coveted Agency of the Year title and multiple additional wins. Their “Sky Fest” campaign, celebrated for its powerful focus on empowering women and girls, earned Most Impactful Campaign of the Year. The agency’s innovative storytelling and execution also saw them recognized in Media Innovation, Experiential Campaign, and Best Youth-Driven Campaign categories, firmly positioning them as industry leaders.

Individual excellence was equally celebrated, with outstanding creatives receiving top honors. Bharat Tavares was named Creative Director of the Year, while Robert Kizito and Kelvin Kaesa took home Copy Writer of the Year and Art Director of the Year respectively. Denis Kajura was recognized as Graphic Designer of the Year, Colin Asiimwe earned Marketing Leader of the Year, and Dorothy Kirabo claimed Strategist of the Year. GOtv stood out as Brand of the Year, applauded for its strong digital engagement and compelling online presence.

The spotlight also shone brightly on emerging talent through the Youth and Young Creative Awards. Rising stars such as Michael Muraya, Allan Kioko, Neemo Mungai, Faith Mwangi, and Gichimu Ikuá were celebrated for their creativity, innovation, and fresh perspectives. In partnership with Eskimi, additional awards recognized impactful digital campaigns by leading brands including Diageo, Uber Eats, and KCB Group—highlighting the power of data-driven creativity and strategic digital execution.

Beyond the trophies and applause, the Digital Media Festival and Awards Show 2025 reaffirmed the importance of innovation, storytelling, and meaningful digital engagement in shaping Kenya’s cultural and commercial narratives. As Go Gaga Experiential continues to champion excellence in digital media, the event served as a powerful reminder that Kenya’s digital industry is thriving—driven by bold ideas, passionate talent, and a shared vision for the future.
