The Global MICE Summit is a two day conference bringing together participants from the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions sub sector of the Tourism Industry to provoke thoughts and ideas leveraging sustainable M.I.C.E practices to spur economic development.
MICE is an abbreviation meaning:

GMS 2018 will be held at the Intercontinental Hotel, Nairobi on Thursday, 29th November, 2018 and Friday, 30th November, 2018.
The summit seeks to bring together stakeholders in the MICE industry such as event managers, Destination Management Companies (DMCs), Professional Conference Organisers (PCOs), and Universities, government institutions in the tourism sector, relevant regulators and associations among others. There will be a concurrent Global MICE Expo where both global and local brands will showcase their innovative and sustainable MICE solutions.
Hubs
The Global MICE Summit and Expo is built around four (4) thematic pillars:
- Sustainable MICE Tourism Hub: The sustainability hub will address the practices MICE players need to adopt to join the world in implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.
- Tech & Innovation Hub: The tech & innovation hub will address new and existing innovations and technological solutions that could enhance attendee experiences and enhance efficiency for practitioners within the meetings industry
- Economic Impact Hub: The hub will address the various opportunities that MICE players can leverage to maximize revenue and economic impact using sustainable and innovative means of production
- Future Trends Hub: This is a general hub that will address and predict the future trends in the meetings industry and how MICE players should prepare to adapt to these changes.
Global MICE Summit Incubation Program
As an outcome of the Global MICE Summit, Zuri Events together with The Technical University of Kenya, Department of Leisure and Event Management will run an incubation program aimed at training and mentoring young start–ups and entrepreneurs within the meetings industry on sustainable and innovative solutions for the MICE industry. The program aims to incubate innovative solutions and provide industry experience to 300 young persons (18-35yrs) over the next three (3) years who will then have capacity to run their own enterprises within the MICE industry.
