A day set apart for giving thanks to God. Thanksgiving is important because it is a positive and secular holiday where we celebrate gratitude, something that we don’t do enough of these days.
Thanksgiving, as the name implies, is a holiday of gratitude for a successful harvest; this was particularly important after early European settlers in North America experienced many unsuccessful harvests before that. Having finally learned how to properly grow corn, raise some of the native pumpkins and peppers and catch the tasty (if not somewhat awkward looking) turkey, legend says that they sat down in a friendly meal with friends and foes alike to celebrate. There is some debate about how friendly this all was, but the sentiment has remained, along with a long list of foods that are special to the day.
This relates most specifically to our shared fragrance and perfume culture because a Thanksgiving house is a house full of scents. There is perhaps no holiday in the US that is more fragrant, and more steeped in the liberal use of every kind of food, spice, and grain. With a fresh duet of juniper and cardamom; sparkle of gin notes and cocoa extract and refined clary sage absolute coupled with vibrant texturized notes of amber wood, this potent masculine fragrance is potent, daring and perfect for celebrating life. Pepe Jeans CELEBRATE for her is an original cocktail with sweet and savoury notes designed to always keep the senses alert. The fragrance begins with a cheerful combination of popcorn, black pepper and chestnut, eventually leading us to an addictive floral bouquet. This initial impact combines with sophisticated white wood base-notes and underlying tones of creamy vanilla to offer a fragrance that is both elegant and seductive.

Can we take a moment to look at the bottle! The woman’s fragrance* is surrounded by a beautiful cocktail glass bottle. And the fragrance for men is a cute little cocktail shaker. The bottles are so beautifully made that it is an eye catcher. Pepe Cocktail Editions reflect the heady escapism of a well-mixed cocktail. For her is presented in the signature cocktail glass featuring the colours of a Tequila Sunrise whilst For Him is cocktail shaker is decorated with an aquatic ombre of green and blue. The fragrances within delight with the ingredients mixed by a master mixologist.

What I also like is the little references on the bottle. On top of the woman’s fragrance there’s a ‘stamp’ that says, “not to be taken”, which is a reference to the old medicine cabinets we had back in the days. If you’re wondering how you need to open this bottle; just pop off the ‘glass’ bit of the cocktail glass!
