Guided by the vision of thriving forest landscapes that sustain people, prosperity, and biodiversity, the Forest Challenge aims to restore 600 hectares of degraded forest by 2030, through the planting and nurturing of 600,000 trees. Every step, climb, and muddy obstacle you conquer helps fund the planting and maintenance of trees over three years, ensuring they grow strong and contribute to a greener Kenya.

Behind this incredible initiative are three passionate organizers:

  • The East African Wild Life Society (EAWLS) — the leading voice for conservation in East Africa since 1956, championing sustainable use of natural resources through advocacy, education, and community empowerment.
  • Kenya Forest Service (KFS) — a state corporation dedicated to conserving and managing Kenya’s forest resources for sustainable development and environmental protection.
  • Kijabe Environment Volunteers (KENVO) — a community-driven organization promoting the conservation of the Kikuyu Escarpment ecosystem while supporting local livelihoods.

Whether you run, walk, or crawl through the forest, your participation fuels a cause that goes beyond the finish line. Join the Forest Challenge 2025, where adventure transforms into impact!
