Forest Challenge 2025, Where Adventure, Team Spirit & Climate Action Unite

Inside Forest Challenge 2025, Thrills, Teamwork & Tree Planting

On 29th November 2025, the breathtaking landscapes of Kereita Forest in the Aberdare Range were transformed into a dynamic playground of adventure, endurance, and environmental purpose during the 10th edition of The Forest Challenge 2025. The event attracted corporate teams, outdoor enthusiasts, and adventure seekers from across Kenya, blending physical challenge, teamwork, and sustainability into one powerful forest experience.

The day opened on a lively and energetic note with vibrant cultural performances by Gim Events, setting the tone for an immersive outdoor adventure. Participants were then guided through structured warm-up sessions led by Bramwel Wangila, preparing them for the demanding course ahead. The official proceedings began with the National Anthem and a moment of reflection led by Julius Njoroge, followed by motivating remarks from Benjamin Mundi and Nancy Ogonje. The event was officially launched by Alex Lemarkoko, signaling the start of the forest challenge.

Once underway, teams navigated rugged forest trails that tested strength, coordination, problem-solving, and endurance in equal measure. A key highlight of the day was a symbolic tree-planting exercise led by Benjamin Mundi, reinforcing the urgent need for forest restoration and climate action. The competition was professionally overseen by judges John Nyaga, George Njagi, and Joseph Macharia, while entertainment segments, team recognitions, and prize presentations kept the energy high throughout the experience.

Beyond the physical challenge, the event also created space for meaningful environmental dialogue. Thought-provoking conversations led by Nancy Ogonje, Nelson Muiru, Kibet Boen, and David Kuria, alongside representatives from the Office of the Chief Conservator of Forests, emphasized the importance of protecting Kenya’s forest ecosystems. The discussions highlighted collective responsibility in conservation, sustainability, and long-term environmental resilience.

The success of The Forest Challenge 2025 was made possible through strong partnerships with organizations committed to environmental stewardship, including Safarilink, Madison Group, Kevian, Kenya Wildlife Service, Intrepid, and Hivos People Unlimited. Their support underscored the growing collaboration between the private sector and conservation bodies in driving impactful environmental initiatives across Kenya.

From adrenaline-filled forest trails to powerful conservation conversations, Go Places Media captured every defining moment of the day. As the event concluded, participants departed with renewed energy, stronger team bonds, and a shared commitment to protecting Kenya’s forests—proving once again that adventure and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.
