Ethiopian Aviation Academy Holds Graduation Ceremony For Trainee Pilots.

Pilot Trainees Graduate With Ethiopian Airlines

Ethiopian Aviation Academy(EAA), Africa’s largest center of excellence, graduated 236 pilot trainees in Multi-Crew Pilot License program and Commercial Pilot License program on the 22nd of October, 2022.

The graduation was halted and being conducted virtually for the past two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Upon congratulating graduate pilots, Mr. Mesfin Tassew, Group Chief Executive Officer of Ethiopian Airlinesstressed that safety is always a priority in the airline business and pilots should take it as such.  He also mentioned that there is a huge responsibility bestowed on pilots to keep passenger’s life and airline’s property safe, which in turn, requires pilots physical and mental health at all times.

The A/Managing Director of  EAA, Mr. Kassie Yimam, on his part, mentioned the airline’s commitment on training and education.  He further stated that the academy has already been accredited as a university and four undergraduate programs have already been approved by the Higher Education Quality and Relevance Agency of the Ministry of Education of Ethiopia.  This will definitely expand the opportunity for the academy to continue spearheading being a cutting edge aviation center of excellence.
