The award ceremony took place during the Paris Air Show on June 20, 2023, where the airline received recognition for its exceptional performance and dedication to excellence.

For an unprecedented six years in a row, Ethiopian Airlines was crowned the “Best Airline in Africa.” This remarkable achievement is a testament to the airline’s unwavering commitment to providing high-quality services and maintaining consistent standards of excellence. Moreover, the airline also secured the title of “Best Business Class Airline in Africa” and “Best Economy Class Airline in Africa” for an impressive five consecutive years.

Ethiopian Airlines’ commitment to exceptional onboard experiences was recognized with the award for “Best Business Class Onboard Catering in Africa” for the second consecutive year. The airline’s unwavering focus on cleanliness and hygiene earned it the title of “Cleanest Airline in Africa” at the esteemed ceremony.

In a congratulatory message, Mr. Mesfin Tasew, Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO, expressed his profound gratitude to their loyal customers for their continuous support. The SKYTRAX World Airline Awards, often referred to as the “Oscars of the aviation industry,” are renowned for their impartiality and global scope. The awards are based on the largest airline passenger satisfaction survey, with over 20 million entries from more than 100 nationalities. Ethiopian Airlines’ outstanding performance among more than 325 featured airlines solidifies its position as a leading global carrier.

This recent achievement adds to Ethiopian Airlines’ long list of accolades, including the “Best Airlines in Africa” award from the SKYTRAX World Airline Awards for multiple years.
