Fly ALS

From Bush To Beach, Fly ALS Gets You There On Time, Every Time

From its beginnings in 1985 as ALS, serving global humanitarian and government organizations, to the launch of Fly ALS in 2021 as a dedicated safari and passenger airline, the brand has built a reputation for safety, seamless service, and personalized travel experiences. Today, Fly ALS connects Kenya’s most iconic safari reserves and coastal gems, all while embracing digital innovation, sustainability, and partnerships that strengthen East Africa’s aviation industry.

1) Could you introduce yourself and share your role at Fly ALS, highlighting how you help shape the airline’s passenger experience and brand vision?
Evelyn Jessimet: I’m the Sales and Marketing Manager for Fly ALS.
Shazia Khan: And I’m a Sales and Marketing Practitioner at Fly ALS Limited. Together in the Sales and Marketing Department, we connect the airline with agents and customers, ensuring Fly ALS remains top-of-mind for seamless safari and leisure travel.

2) Fly ALS has evolved significantly since its inception in 1985. How would you describe the airline’s journey, and what core values define the Fly ALS brand today?
ALS began in 1985, primarily flying for government and non-governmental organizations such as the UN, ICRC, and WFP. In 2021, Fly ALS was launched as our safari and passenger airline, bringing travelers closer to Kenya’s top destinations. Our values center on safety, reliability, professionalism, and personalized service—all backed by the strength of a well-established aviation group.

3) Fly ALS prides itself on providing a seamless and comfortable travel experience. What signature services or experiences should travellers expect when flying with Fly ALS?
We offer an exclusive check-in service, complete with screening machines, a dedicated lounge, and even an exclusive boarding gate. We pride ourselves on on-time departures and a wide variety of routes. Guests can enjoy daily flights to Maasai Mara and Amboseli (twice daily), plus services to Nanyuki, Loisaba, Samburu, and coastal destinations like Diani and Vipingo. It’s all about choice and convenience.

4) How has digital innovation, online booking tools, or operational improvements enhanced customer convenience, loyalty, and overall experience with Fly ALS?
Technology is key. Our website and booking tools make reservations easy, while our streamlined check-in services reduce waiting times. We also track flights across Kenya and the region in real time, giving peace of mind to both passengers and agents.

5) Looking ahead, what new routes, services, or in-flight experiences will Fly ALS be introducing in the coming months to excite travellers and business partners alike?
Our network has expanded significantly from Maasai Mara alone to multiple daily flights across safari and coastal destinations. Recently, we introduced a new partnership with East African Airlines to offer a Kenya–Tanzania circuit, creating a broader regional experience for our customers.

6) As a growing airline in Kenya, how has Fly ALS leveraged industry platforms, partnerships, and travel trade initiatives like MKTE to strengthen visibility and build connections within the regional aviation market?
Kenya is truly a magical destination, and MKTE has been instrumental for us. This year marks our third participation, and it has helped us meet agents, strike strategic partnerships, and increase visibility. At this year’s MKTE, hosted buyers will also fly with us on familiarization trips, experiencing firsthand what Fly ALS offers.

7) Looking to 2026 and beyond, what strategic developments, expansions, or innovations are you most excited about for Fly ALS, and how will they shape the future of air travel in the region?
We are focused on expanding domestic and regional routes, modernizing our fleet, and most importantly, sustainability. We are aligning with Kenya’s green aviation goals by integrating fuel-efficient aircraft, carbon offset programs, and eco-conscious operations. Our vision is to grow while caring for both passengers and the planet.

8) For travellers, travel agents, and partners discovering Fly ALS for the first time, what would you like them to know? Why should they choose Fly ALS for their next journey?
With Fly ALS, passengers enjoy the professionalism of an established aviation group combined with the warmth of personalized service. We guarantee comfort, reliability, uncompromising safety standards, and a growing commitment to sustainability. Choosing Fly ALS means supporting an airline that values both people and the environment.

9) Fly ALS has collaborated with Go Places on several initiatives. Could you share how this partnership has supported your brand growth, enhanced visibility, and strengthened your engagement with travelers and trade partners?
Our partnership with Go Places has enhanced visibility locally, regionally, and internationally. Their platforms allow us to connect with travel trade partners and showcase our growing network effectively. It has strengthened our storytelling and positioned us as a reliable airline in the safari and leisure market.

With a rich aviation heritage, expanding safari and coastal routes, and sustainability at its core, Fly ALS is redefining regional connectivity for Kenya and East Africa. As they prepare to showcase at MKTE 2025, their promise remains clear: comfort, reliability, and journeys that positively impact both people and the planet.
