Surana Buffalo Springs is a new camp that has recently opened in the heart of the great northern territory. Set amidst the sprawling arid landscape, mottled with lava stones and desert flora and fauna, this beautifully crafted creation exceeds the term “safari-chic”. The camp has been passionately designed, an oasis carefully built by amalgamating rock and canvas, imbibing both Safari and Swahili senses.
The main attraction of the camp is the infinity pool and spa, carefully bedded into a natural ridge, providing an oasis for those cooling off after an exciting game drive, lounging, sipping on their favourite cocktail or being pampered by a masseuse. Buffalo Springs National Reserve is home to the Special Five (Gerenuk, Beisa Oryx, Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, and Somali Ostrich) and unique birdlife. The facility is set on an elevated ground overlooking the meandering Ewaso Nyiro River and Isiolo River confluence, which attracts a variety of wildlife and the ever-present Oloolokwe and Oltorokwe hills. The facility is surrounded by a 24hrs electric fence.

By Air: 45 minutes from Nairobi.
Transfer from Airstrip: 25 minutes and 1hr from Buffalo Springs and Kalama respectively.
