Stirring Culture & Taste, Thai Food Experience Hosted In Style
On Friday, April 25, 2025, Trademark Suites Enaki Town was abuzz with the vibrant aromas and cultural elegance of Thai cuisine during an exclusive Thai Cooking Demonstration. The event was graced by a high-profile delegation led by the Guest of Honor, H.E. Ms. Morakot Janemathukorn, Ambassador of Thailand to Kenya. Distinguished guests included H.E. Mr. Ruzaimi Mohamad, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Kenya; H.E. Ms. Marie Charlotte G. Tang, Ambassador of the Philippines to Kenya; Mr. Danny Rahdiansyah, Chargé d’Affaires a.i., Embassy of Indonesia in Nairobi; and Mr. Henry Wambuma, Deputy Director of the Asia and the Pacific Directorate at Kenya’s Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs. Their presence underscored the event’s diplomatic significance and the deepening cultural ties between Kenya and Southeast Asia.
The heart of the event was the culinary artistry of Chef Assistant Professor Dr. Chayanit Prampate from Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep, Bangkok. With grace and passion, she brought Thai cuisine to life, sharing her expertise in traditional Thai cooking techniques and ingredients. Guests were treated to a hands-on experience as she demonstrated the preparation of authentic dishes such as Kaow Krieb Pakmor (steamed rice paper with chicken stuffing), Yum Woon Sen (glass noodle salad), Tom Kha Kai (chicken coconut milk soup with galangal), Panang Nu (beef panang curry), Ipanang Tao Hoo (tofu curry), and the delightful dessert Thub Tim Krob (crispy water chestnuts in coconut milk). The interactive nature of the event allowed attendees to immerse themselves in the process—chopping, stirring, and plating under the guidance of the chef herself. The aromas filled the air, teasing appetites until it was time to sample the final creations. Every dish told a story, offering guests not only exquisite flavors but also insight into the heart of Thai culture. It was an engaging, delicious way to promote cultural exchange and culinary appreciation.
Trademark Suites’ CEO, Mr. Mansoor Jiwani, and Managing Director, Mr. Nev Jiwani, were present to welcome the guests and personally share in the celebration of this cultural showcase. Their commitment to elevating hospitality experiences at Enaki Town was evident in every detail—from the elegant setup to the seamless flow of the program. The event marked another milestone in Trademark Suites’ mission to provide memorable, immersive experiences for its guests and partners.
The entire event was covered by Go Places Media, capturing the flavors, smiles, and cross-cultural connections that made the evening truly special. The Thai Cooking Demonstration not only delighted the palate but also built bridges between nations, turning an afternoon of culinary art into a meaningful celebration of diplomacy, diversity, and shared moments.
