Every Step You Take Grows A Tree And Transforms A Community
Get ready for an adventure with purpose! The Forest Challenge 2025 returns; bigger, bolder, and greener, uniting nature lovers, corporates, and conservation champions for a cause that truly matters.
With a vision for thriving forest landscapes that sustain people, prosperity, and biodiversity, the Forest Challenge is more than just an adrenaline-pumping event, it’s a movement driving Kenya toward ecological restoration and climate resilience.
A Challenge with Impact
Every step you take helps restore Kenya’s forests. So far, the initiative has:
- Grown 105,873 indigenous trees across Mau and Aberdare water towers.
- Rehabilitated 105 hectares of degraded forest.
- Absorbed 2,541 metric tonnes of CO₂ annually.
- Created over 500 jobs each year and improved livelihoods for 500+ households.
- Injected KSh 5.3 million directly into local communities through seedlings and labor.

Their 2030 Goal
The Forest Challenge aims to restore at least 600 hectares of degraded landscapes by 2030 through the planting and nurturing of 600,000 indigenous trees. Funds raised support the full three-year growth cycle, ensuring every seedling matures into a thriving tree.
