Appointments To Kenya Association Of Women In Tourism (KAWT)

The Kenya Association of Women in Tourism (KAWT) is a non-profit association founded in 2010. KAWT was formed in response to women showing a growing interest in opportunities in tourism, including, the need for a country-wide official platform for their voice to be heard in the tourism industry. Our primary mandate is to provide a platform for women’s empowerment through engagement, employment and participation in the tourism industry.
KAWT aims in bringing gender aspects of tourism to the attention of policy makers, especially the issues of women’s employment and active participation in the tourism industry.
