Air travel is one of the largest contributors to greenhouse gas emissions. As a result, airlines around the world are looking for ways to reduce their carbon footprint. At AirKenya, we have partnered with Nature Kenya, a local environmental conservation organization, to help in its efforts to conserve our flora and fauna.
AirKenya sponsored the 13th Nature Kenya Charity Golf Tournament, which was held on 31st March 2023 at the Karen Country Club. The tournament supported the #lungsforkenya initiative, which aims to promote environmental conservation through tree planting in key biodiversity and water catchment areas.
As part of this partnership, we donated two air tickets to Maasai Mara for auction during the golf tournament. The auction saw one lucky person purchase a travel package for over Kes. 200,000. The proceeds from the auction will go towards supporting Nature Kenya’s conservation efforts.
