The Future Hospitality Summit Africa (FHS Africa) 2026 came to life in remarkable style from 31st March to 1st April 2026 at the sophisticated Radisson Blu Hotel Nairobi Upper Hill, following an exclusive welcome reception on 30th March at Kofisi Kaskazi. The official opening featured keynote remarks by Mr. David Gitonga, Tourism Secretary of the Republic of Kenya, who highlighted Kenya’s rising influence as a hub for tourism innovation, investment, and sustainable hospitality development. Throughout the summit, attendees engaged in insightful discussions and presentations exploring key industry trends. A major highlight of the summit was the signing of a landmark development agreement between The First Group Hospitality and MIDROC Investment Group. This strategic partnership will drive the development and management of 10 hospitality properties in Ethiopia, marking a significant step forward in regional expansion. The agreement was presented by Mr. David Thomson alongside Mr. Solomon Zewdu Damtie, in the presence of global investors and senior industry stakeholders.

The summit also celebrated excellence and leadership with the presentation of the FHS Africa Leadership Award to Ms. Vimbai Masiyiwa. The award was presented by Mr. Peter Greenberg and Mr. Matthew Weihs, recognizing her outstanding contribution to tourism development and her influence in shaping Africa’s hospitality narrative. This recognition highlighted the vital role of visionary leadership in driving transformation and innovation across the sector.
