Ethiopian Cargo Participates on Pharma Logistics Africa 2022 Event at Nairobi, Kenya Pharma Logistics Africa sets out to develop partnerships to strengthen regional and international cooperation between the public and private sectors across the African pharmaceutical sectors to discuss and analyze outcomes which would define problems and consider potential solutions to improve the pharmaceutical ecosystem across Africa. Building on feedback and previous symposia successes, PLA2022 addresses thematic issues of Africa’s Pharmaceutical Sector, New Technologies and Innovation, Pharma Supply Chain & Logistics, Legal & Regulatory Frameworks, Health Emergencies & Preparedness, Universal Health Access and New Buying Patterns, New Public Health Order and many more. Pharma Logistics Africa PLA 2022 has become one of the most important events in the field of pharmaceutical logistics and supply chain improvement in Africa. Its importance continues to be reflected in the number of high-level participants from African and international organizations, African government organizations, logistics and supply chain companies, air cargo carriers / airlines and pharmaceutical establishments over the past four years. Ethiopian Airlines was an active participant  and proud sponsor of this event since the inception back in 2019. This year, on the 4^th event took place in Kenya Nairobi from 12 – 13 October, Ethiopian Airlines has introduced its legacy product “Pharma Wing”, a product that we have launched in 2018 to exploit the benefit of having modern freighter & belly hold fleet, 1-million-ton annual capacity state of the art facility where +56% is dedicated for cold chain facility, best connectivity, freighter network on major trade lanes, best geographical location of the carrier’s hub (IATA: ADD – ICAO: HAAB) and a dedicated team specialized on healthcare logistics & positioned Ethiopian Airlines as the first airline in Africa to be awarded with IATA CEIV Pharma Certification.    ]]>
