By the time you arrive at Amboseli National Park on Day 1, you will have been picked up from your residence or hotel in Nairobi and embarked on a scenic 4-hour drive. You will have reached Amboseli by 13:00 hrs, where you will have checked in at the Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge and freshened up. Afterward, you will have prepared for your evening game drive, which will take you through the park until dark.
During the game drive, you will have had the opportunity to observe large herds of free-roaming elephants up close, a highlight of Amboseli, and taken in the breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro. You will have also spotted a variety of plains animals and experienced the diverse landscapes, ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli to the wetlands, savannah, and woodlands. These habitats will have provided fantastic photo opportunities, and you will have enjoyed the clear views of the mountain, which are best captured in the early morning light.
By the time you arrive, the early morning balloon safari will have already been available as an option for an additional supplement of USD 450 per person. The balloon will have launched at 0600hrs, and you will have floated above the vast landscape of Amboseli for an hour. Upon landing, you will have been greeted with a champagne bush breakfast, enjoying the stunning views of the large elephant herds and the majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro in the distance.
After breakfast, you will have taken a game drive through Amboseli National Park with a professional tour guide, immersing yourself in the park’s diverse wildlife. You will have returned to the lodge by midday for lunch, and you will have relaxed as you waited for the evening game drive.
By the evening, you will have already experienced another exciting game drive and will have returned to the lodge for a delicious dinner and overnight stay, having enjoyed a memorable day full of adventure and nature’s beauty.
In the morning, you will have already gone on a thrilling game drive at the lodge, experiencing the wildlife before returning for a hearty breakfast. After enjoying your meal, you will have checked out of the lodge by 10:00 AM.
