From June 7th to 9th, 2024, the Magereza Ground in Tanzania was transformed into a bustling hub of activity as the much-anticipated Karibu Kilifair unfolded. This prestigious event, renowned for its ability to foster connections and drive innovation in the tourism sector, exceeded expectations with its remarkable success.
With over 460 exhibitors representing 12 countries, 600 registered travel agents from over 40 countries, and a staggering 10,000+ travel buyers in attendance, Karibu Kilifair 2024 emerged as a beacon of opportunity for industry professionals worldwide.
The event kicked off in grand style on June 7th, with esteemed guests gracing the occasion, including the Minister of National Resources & Tourism. The presence of Hon. Angellah Kairuki, the Minister of Tourism in Tanzania, alongside Hon. RC Paul Makonda and Hon. German Ambassador Thomas Terstegen, underscored the significance of the tourism sector in Tanzania. Their participation emphasized the country’s commitment to promoting its diverse attractions on the global stage.
The ceremony resonated with promises of sustainable growth and cultural exchange, setting a tone of enthusiasm and dedication among attendees. The presence of key figures such as the Chairman and directors of TATO, Tom Kunkler, and Dominic Shoo, further emphasized the spirit of collaboration within the industry.
One of the highlights of Karibu Kilifair 2024 was the Exhibitors/Buyers party held at Fun Retreat-Arusha. This exclusive gathering brought together exhibitors, buyers, and VIP guests in a celebration of the vibrant spirit of the tourism and hospitality sector. Against the stunning backdrop of Fun Retreat’s gardens, attendees enjoyed an evening filled with networking opportunities and meaningful connections.
