Register Now And Prepare To Connect With Global Buyers, Tourism Businesses And Industry Leaders When MKTE Takes Centre Stage In Nairobi
The wait is almost over. With just four days to go, the Magical Kenya Travel Expo (MKTE) 2026 is set to open its doors in Nairobi from 6th–8th October, bringing the global tourism community together at Uhuru Gardens for three days of connections, conversations, business and opportunity.
Now in its 16th edition, MKTE 2026 is shaping up to be an important meeting point for the tourism industry, with more than 400 exhibitors, over 160 vetted international buyers and thousands of expected attendees set to converge in Nairobi.
Four Days To Go. Have You Registered?
At this stage of the countdown, there is little time left to simply plan. The industry is getting ready, exhibitors are preparing their showcases, buyers are planning their meetings and Nairobi is preparing to welcome tourism professionals from across the region and international markets.
For trade visitors, registration provides access to the expo and its seminar programme, creating an opportunity to discover tourism products, meet industry players and engage with conversations shaping the future of travel. The official MKTE site says trade visitor registration takes about four minutes to complete.
If MKTE 2026 is on your calendar, now is the time to secure your place.
Where Tourism Business Meets New Ideas
MKTE 2026 goes beyond showcasing destinations and travel products. This year’s central theme, “Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence: Shaping the Future of Tourism,” puts technology and innovation firmly at the heart of the industry conversation.
The seminar programme will explore issues including AI and data governance, digital transformation across the traveller journey, tourism intelligence, resilience, investment and the role of the creative economy in tourism.
For tourism professionals, these discussions offer a chance to look beyond the business of today and examine how technology, creativity and innovation are changing the way destinations connect with travellers.
Three Days Of Connections In Nairobi
From 6th–8th October, Uhuru Gardens will become a meeting point for exhibitors, hosted buyers, trade visitors, tourism leaders and other industry stakeholders.
The programme includes seminars and structured networking opportunities, while the wider MKTE programme extends beyond the exhibition floor with a welcome cocktail, VIP dinner, speed networking and nightlife experiences designed to encourage further connections and showcase Nairobi’s culture, food, music and entertainment.
The Speed Networking session on 8th October will provide buyers and exhibitors with structured opportunities to introduce their businesses, explore potential collaborations and identify opportunities across Kenya’s tourism value chain.
One Last Countdown To MKTE At Uhuru Gardens
There is another reason this edition carries significance. MKTE 2026 will be the 16th edition and, according to the Kenya Tourism Board’s official launch communication, marks the final edition at Uhuru Gardens before the expo moves to a new venue in future editions.
That makes this year’s gathering an important moment for exhibitors, buyers, partners and tourism professionals who have made MKTE part of their annual industry calendar.
Four Days. One Global Tourism Meeting Point.
The countdown is now down to four.
In just a few days, the exhibition floor will come alive, meetings will begin, new conversations will start and tourism professionals from different markets will gather in Nairobi to connect and do business.
The dates are 6th–8th October 2026. The venue is Uhuru Gardens, Nairobi.
Four days to go. Register now for MKTE 2026 and get ready to be part of the conversation shaping the future of tourism.
